Wow! What a great day everyone had at the BBQ Cook-Off and tractor pull that was held on Saturday September 17th at the J.B. Wells Park in Gonzales, Texas. There were people young and old and from near and far. That is as far away as Louisiana. At this event we had tractor pullers with garden tractors, mini rod tractors, stock, antique, and hot rods.
The day was full of excitement for all the viewers and went by very smoothly. We would like to thank the following groups and individuals that made this day possible.
First of all Kenneth Hyden. If it wasn’t for this man, his crew, his equipment and his financial help we would not have had such a great time. Thanks to all the tractor pullers who came out and helped the day before. We want to thank Craig and Calvin for doing a good job of setting the sled up on a short sandy in door track. It was a new experience for TMTPA and all their pullers.
There shouldn’t be a question about next year, it will be even
bigger and better.
God Bless everyone and we’ll see you soon!
Thanks, Curtis

I just want to say thanks to all you pullers for coming to the De Leon Super Nationals and making it a huge success one more time!!! The feedback I have heard is good regarding the minirods, I think you guys definitely made a good impression on the fans and officials.
Also, I have posted the distance results and updated the points. Remember, your final points tally at the end of the season will not include your lowest points pull.
Thanks again and God bless,
Byrl

Wow what a exciting day in Nordheim, Texas at the May Feast event!!! Lots of pullers were there, weather was just right !!! Track was biting good in the first round of competition you would have thought some of the tractors where going to take out the fence at the end of the track!!!!
Then there was a few break downs and a blowed motor!!!!!! Troy Newman got introduced to the crowd (literally), in his battle with the Ranger finally giving up setting crossways on the sideline with battle scars on his tailgate!!!! So we guess the sled won that one!!! Other than that everything went pretty smooth for the second points pull of the season.
Note also: It was voted in that one points pull will be dropped from points total at end of season.
We want to thank Nordheim Shooting Club for having us be a part of the
May Feast! Our next pull will be June 17, 2011 in Koerth, Texas Hope
everyone can make it to this pull!!!!
God bless,
Curtis and Craig

TMTPA's 2011 pull season got off to a rip roarin' start Saturday at the Milano Spring Sweep in Milano, TX. Things went really well as the first points pull of the season kicked off!! Lots and lots of spectators and fans being there helped to get things off to a great start!!
Things were going real good til things started to go bad!! Well, for some of us that is!! Half way down the track in one spot is where it all started!! We jackknifed, blew out tires, blowed off tires, spun out, and even run off the track !!! Imagine that!! Seems like Roger and the Junkyard Dawg just can't seem to stay on the track. The grass looks green on the side of the track for them!!
Some won, some lost, some went home broke not only in $$$ but in tractors!! It's down to Nordhiem on Saturday, May 15 so there's not gonna be much R&R or beauty rest for some!!
A great big thanks goes out to the City of Milano and Milam County Prct. 3 for all their hard work in preparing and making this event happen.
It was good to see all of ya'll and good Lord's willing we'll see ya in Nordhiem!!
God bless,
Craig

The 2011 tractor pulling season has kicked off with a very fine day at the Milano pull track! I would say that it went exceptionally well with every one jumping in with both feet and taking on their roles as officers. A great big thanks goes out to each and every one of you for doing a great job!!
We got to catch up on lots of information, sled changes, discussing off season events, new items on the agenda, meeting new pullers, signing in members, setting up committee officers, registering new tractors and reminiscing with old pullers and some young ones too!! From the looks of things, it's going to be another real exciting year with lots of serious or should that be real serious or EXTREMELY serious competion!!
So points pulls start May 7, at 1:00 p.m. at the Milano Pull Track
ARE YA'LL READY?!?!?!?!?!?!?! LET'S PULL TRACTORS!!!
See ya'll there Lord's willing and God bless!

2-16-2011 Our Gasup is 2 months away today! We need to get organized and get committees set up to operate the pulls this season. The following is a list of what we must have to make the pulls happen.
1. Sign in table and data recording: We need at least 2 or 3 people (1 as a chairperson and one or two assistants) to be in charge of collecting hook fees, signing in pullers, and to record the distances from the readout to the pull sheets during the pulls, determining winners, figuring payout, etc at each event.
2. Flagging: We need at least 2 or 3 people (1 as a chairperson and one or two assistants) to be in charge of flagging at each event.
3. Hooking/Unhooking: We need a minimum of 2 people to take care of getting the tractors hooked and unhooked at each event. (1 as a chairperson and one or two assistants)
4. Sled operation: We need at least 3 guys to be in charge of operating, setting up and tearing down the sled at each event. (1 as a chairperson and one or two assistants)
5. Scales: We need 2 people to be in charge of setting up and taking down the scales, and to man the scales during each event. (1 as a chairperson and one or more assistants)
6. Announcer: We need a chairperson and at least one assistant to take care of announcing at each event.
As we stated at the 2010 meeting, for tmtpa to continue and for it to have a successful year, it is going to take people stepping up and being willing to take care of some of this work. If you are on one committee, please be willing to help with others.
TMTPA wants to purchase t-shirts for those willing to step up as chairpersons, please contact me as soon as possible with your t-shirt size and name. As we receive committments for chairpersons we will post them on our website.

1-15-2011 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We’re still here and just as fat and sassy as ever and not any better looking !! Can ya’ll believe it--it’s already January 15, 2011 ?!?! Before we know it old man winter will have left us and it will again be time to pull tractors!! We hope everyone had a blessed 2010! God has blessed us far more than we deserve!
I have spoke with a few of you briefly either by phone or in person and it seems like it’s going to be another exciting year of pulling tractors. Perhaps with some new tractors, new pullers, new fans and maybe even some new pulls!!
I have also been working on getting a list put together of committees needed to help things go smoothly at the pulls. As soon as I get it together I will post it and those of you that wish to help can let me know.
As most of you may have heard, tractor pulling has lost one of its pullers. Tom Cleveland passed away a couple of weeks ago. Tom was a member of LSGTPA but has pulled with us on different occasions. He was a man that was always happy spirited, a joy to be around as well as a positive thinking person! He was always ready to share with you about his love for the Lord. He always used a phrase quite often that is used around our house pretty regular----to quote Tom- ”Let her rip tater chip!!” TMTPA sent flowers to his service. He is a man that will be greatly missed and I’m sure thought about often.
Well, Gas Up will be here before we know it!! We will try and keep things posted and updated as we get more information on a date and time. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. You can email us at tmtpa@tmtpa.com or call my cell phone 512-760-6386.
God bless!
Craig

11-16-2010 2010 was quite a year for TMTPA and its pullers!! The points race being so close in several of the classes made for an exciting year!! What about the stock class?! We didn't know who was going to be points champion until it was checked over several times!! When the dust finally settled and points finally tallied it ended up in a 4-WAY TIE!!! How many times do you see or hear of that?! So back to the records to figure out who really was the points champion! Congratulations to all the points champions ya'll helped to make it a very competive year!
Thanks to all of the members who were able to attend the TMTPA Points Awards and Meeting. It was very enjoyable and we all had plenty to eat! It went well and we are going to be making a few changes for next year. I am getting a list of different committees and things that needs to be addressed for the upcoming year. But let's take a break from pulling and having fun and enjoy the holidays with family and friends and then come back in the new year and get things going again!!
If anyone has any questions or things that you would like considered for discussion feel free to call or email me anytime.
On a different note, many of you know by now that Byrl is stepping down from tractor pulling and moving on to other things. We all know he will be greatly missed and it will be hard to fill his role in the things he did for TMTPA. Some of the best times I've had was pulling with him and it won't be the same but we have all those memories stored up to bring back to enjoy!!
Byrl, we hope the best for you and May God bless you in all you do!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to all & God bless,
Craig

11-1-10 WHAT A PAST 2 WEEKS!!!! First Fredericksburg on 10-23 and then Nordheim this past Saturday 10-31. We had a great turnout of pullers and awesome pulls at both locations. And what a show!! If you weren't there to see it at Fredericksburg, well I guess we just can't quite describe what all took place. James, we thought you were going to make a detour through the stands! And Roger, did you mean to come back to the starting line or what?? It looked that way!!
Then the pull at Nordheim. We pulled our first round on a track that was at least 70 ft. wide! If you DQ-d on that track, well you were gonna DQ anywhere! Awesome pulling, and the points battle came right down to the final pull. Check out the results in the points for the 1050 Stock Class. How could it have all come together in a tie like that at the last pull??!! Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!

9-29-10 WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!!! Several have said this was the best one yet at the Milano Fall Fest Pull Track! Lots of things going on---lots of tractors, lots of fans and spectators!!! Also we were very excited to have pullers come all the way from Louisana and Mississippi to pull with us! We were very excited to have you all as guests and it made the pulling action more competitive! Byrl always says he likes competition, well, HE GOT IT and the guys from Mississippi took the trophy in the 1950 lb class!! We sure hope Justin's tractor is ok after the ride he took down the track!! It was quite a rough and rowdy ride!!!!! We sure hope they all come and pull with us again!
What about that mini truck class---wasn't that AWESOME?!?! Troy Newman's-Big Bad "Ford Ranger", Tim Boehm/Daniel Stewart's-Big Bad Chevy "Ruttin Buck", and Andy Gaudet's Big Bad "Cummins Powered S-10"......We are all wondering "What's next?!?!" "Where will they stop?" "How far will they go?" "What will be left when the dust settles? " At least we kept them off the railroad tracks!!!
Well, the weather had us very worried!!! It looked like it was going to flood and we didn't have a big enough umbrella to cover the track and at one point we thought it was all over. But thankfully, it just settled the dust and let us have a great day after all!!!!
Now it's time to get prepared, repaired, and tuned for Fredericksburg!!! It's been around 15 years since the Jaycees have had a tractor pull out there and they are beyond excited about it!! Also, there is going to be added purse money!! God Bless ya'll and Lord's willing we hope to see you there!!!!
Here is a link to a photo collection from the Fall Fest

9-7-10 Just wanted to let any of you know that if you are going to need a motel room for the Fredericksburg pull you need to get it reserved ASAP!! This is a very busy weekend for Fredericksburg and rooms are few and far between. The Fredericksburg Jaycees were able to hold some rooms for any of us that need one but need to know how many we need ASAP. To reserve a room or an RV spot you need to contact Brian at 830-456-3604 ASAP! Be sure and tell him you are with the TMTPA so he can get you a room.

9-1-10 The Jaycees of Fredericksburg invited us to come out to the 122nd Gillespie County Fair Parade and bring some of our tractors to enter into the parade. They wanted to show the people in town what was coming in October. The people were overall very excited to see what we had and can’t wait to see us in action. They have an awesome covered grandstands for the crowd to sit in and watch. Hope they have a great turn out and that the pull is a success!!
We were received with lots of kindness and generosity. We appreciate everything that Bruce and Brian did to make our stay an enjoyable one.
Hope to see all of them in October!! Picture

8-11-10 WOW!!! WHAT A WEEKEND !!! The "Thunder In The Park Super Nationals"in De Leon TX.and being a part of it! Awesome! What else can we say? Hot, loud, fast, a tight unpredictable track with lots of very competitive tractors, some won, some lost, some got crooked and some were wild, but we all still made it.
Thursday was hectic: moving in, setting up trailers, unloading tractors, seeing old friends and meeting new ones, signing up pullers, inspecting new tractors, reminiscing with other club pullers, it was good to see them again, where to put scales, and tractor line up for the 2 hook battle!! But our big question was--Would we be able to stop "The Ruttin Buck" with his full roller, alcohol burning, aluminum headed big block Chevy? Or would it be the last time we saw our sled as it ramped the dirt pile at the end of the track in a blaze of glory on its way to the moon? Well-it stopped, but we had to revive our sled operator, Steve!! What a ride!! It was awesome!!!
Friday, we got cooked, rained on, and blown away!! Canopies looked like large tumbleweeds as the winds blew!! But it did cool down and let us have a good night of pulling action that went very, very well!!
Well, Saturday morning looked like the pits at NASCAR!! Tractors being worked on everywhere, Al even had the oil pan off his 500 "Cow-de-lak, (The Undertaker) putting rod bearings in it! I don't think the pull could have went much better. Had a great track prep crew! With a great big thanks going to the De Leon Peach and Melon Festival for the invitation and all the hard work that went into making it such a success!! A great big thanks to all TMTPA members for all the great compliments that TMTPA recieved and the hard work and cooperation from all of you. It helped to make it all go very well. Also a special thanks goes out to Tim Boehm and Daniel Stewart for donating their prize money from Saturday night to go toward a new windshield for the sled.
Well, it's another one in the books now, I guess we left our mark on the De Leon Pull Track forever. So 50 years from now, If you look down and see a piece of glass, remember, long live TMTPA!!
God bless ya'll and good Lord's willing we will see ya'll in Milano!!
Byrl & Craig

6-19-10 We fought the heat in Koerth, Texas, and the 6th Annual Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Benefit won!!!! What a day!!! Good track-good pulling-good competition-good tractors and a great crowd with lots of excited spectators! Nothing but good comments about all of you that made it happen! Special thanks to John Frazer for the invitation and all he does for CFF. Also, special thanks to all of the sponsors that supported TMTPA along with the Branecky's for all the hard work they put into raising the added money. It all helps to make it a huge success!!
It was a hot day but I think we all made it!! Thanks to all of you dedicated pullers!! Well, De Leon is next, a little over a month away, so you all have time for repairs, vacations, and R & R to get ready for the big one!! So good Lord's willing we will see you there if not sooner !!!
Byrl & Craig

5-4-10 What a day at the Milano Spring Sweep Pull Track!!! The points pulls started with a bang - literally for some of us! It was good to see all of the pullers, old and new, young and old? Our new measuring system worked better than we expected, it made our recording of the footages MUCH easier with it‘s memory and radio transmitting of data to the table.
Some new tractors and some old ones and some unique ones, how about that David Barten and his turbine, wasn’t that awesome!!!!!!
We had, well to say the least, quite a day!!!! Started with a fairly wet track, but before the day was over, it was awesome!! Some said it was their favorite track, and we like it to!!! We had a huge crowd of spectators and fans that were very into the pulling action. We like to see the crowd so into it. The weather was great, not to hot with a cloud cover and no rain helped also.
We want to say thanks to all you TMTPA diehards that are so dedicated and helped us to make it such a great success. It seemed like the City of Milano and the Fire Dept. couldn’t appreciate enough what you all did to have made this such a great event!!!!
Thanks again, and good Lord’s willin’ we will see yall in Nordheim.
Byrl & Craig

4-28-10 TMTPA has just purchased an Agtronix Sled Monitor Measuring System! This system utilizes the latest technology and operates as a dual console system. There is a sled operator console in the cab, plus a table console for the officials. The table console is coupled to the sled data readout via radio signal, which means that the officials can now have live distance and mph readout as the pull progresses! We are trying to have it up and running by the pull in Milano this Saturday. Byrl & Craig

4-19-10 We had a great time at the Gas Up Saturday! Thanks to all of you who could attend, we registered a lot of pullers and inspected 18 tractors, but the best part was the pulling!! We pulled for about 2 hours, several guys got to run their tractors more than once to get the bugs worked out. It looks like all the classes will be competitive this season, so yall better get ready! Byrl & Craig
_____________________________________________________________
3-3-10 We just got confirmation that the De Leon pull will be for 3 nights this year! Thats Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, August 5, 6, and 7th. Check our schedule for more details.

3-1-10 After a long (and cold) winter, spring is finally getting close! Anyone out there ready for some pulling??
Things are starting to look up for this year, we have several pulls currently booked, and we are working on a couple of more possibilities. The 2WD Modified truck class looks like it could really heat up this year, besides Daniel Branecky's truck we have several more in the building stages!
Keep in mind our Gas Up is just around the corner, April 17th is the date! See yall there! Byrl & Craig
